Privacy Notice
This short notice applies to everyone using the evooia app, whatever your role. Once you sign in, we show you the privacy information, consents and settings that match your role (patient or clinic).
1. Who we are
evooia is a Swiss software solution for before-and-after photo documentation and communication, provided by Mojo Innovation AG, Beethovenstrasse 41, 8002 Zurich, Switzerland. evooia helps capture clear, comparable before-and-after photos of treatments, store them securely, and support communication between patients and professionals.
evooia does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not replace professional judgement. Always consult a qualified professional about medical questions, diagnosis or treatment.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, to create and protect your account.
- Images and metadata: photos you capture, together with technical details such as timestamps.
- Messages: if you use chat or communication features in the app.
- Diagnostics and analytics: crash and usage data, pseudonymised where feasible, to improve the stability, security and quality of the app.
3. Health images
Before-and-after photos can contain health-related data and are treated with extra care. Before you use the app, we ask you to accept this privacy notice, so you always know how your photos are handled. You can see and change how your photos are shared at any time in the app.
Your photos are saved on your device and, by default, also in encrypted cloud storage on our servers in Switzerland, so you can reach them from more than one device.
Because before-and-after documentation and communication with your clinic or professional are core features of evooia, images and content you capture are shared by default with the clinic or professional connected to your account.
You can disable sharing of new images and content for the future in the app or inform your clinic or professional. Content that has already been shared may continue to be processed and retained where this is necessary for care, documentation, security, legal obligations or legitimate record-keeping.
4. Face data
To help you capture comparable before-and-after photos, the app detects reference points of facial features (such as the position of the eyes, nose and jawline) in the camera view and in captured images. These points guide framing, position the on-screen capture overlay, and align follow-up photos with earlier ones.
- Detected on your device. This detection runs entirely on your device. No image and no face data is sent to any artificial intelligence service or to any other third party for this purpose.
- Never used to identify you. These points are never used to identify you. No face template, faceprint or other biometric identifier is created. They are never used for advertising, marketing or profiling.
- What is stored, and where. From this detection, only numeric coordinates are kept. They are stored together with the corresponding photo on our servers in Switzerland. For how the photos themselves are stored and shared, see Section 3.
- Not sent to third parties. These coordinates are not passed to advertisers, data brokers or artificial intelligence providers. They stay with the photo they belong to, so when a photo is shared with your clinic under Section 3, its coordinates go with it. No one else receives them, apart from the hosting providers named in Section 6, who process them only on our instructions.
- Retention and deletion. These coordinates are kept only for as long as the corresponding photo is kept, and are deleted together with it. How long images are kept follows the applicable legal and professional rules, which vary by country. Where a clinic is involved, the clinic's retention obligations as data controller also apply.
- Face ID. If you choose to enable Face ID to unlock the app, Apple handles the authentication entirely. evooia never receives or stores your Face ID data.
5. Who is responsible for your data
If you are linked to a clinic, the clinic is responsible for your treatment content, and evooia stores and processes it securely on the clinic's behalf. If you use evooia independently, Mojo is responsible for your data. You will see the full details for your situation after sign-in in the privacy information that applies to your role.
6. Where your data is stored
Your application data is stored on secure servers in Switzerland. Analytics data is processed by our analytics service provider and may be processed outside Switzerland within the EU. We use encryption in transit and at rest, as well as strict access controls.
We use selected and vetted providers to operate the service securely and reliably. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data without your consent, except where this is necessary to operate the service, work with your connected clinic or professional, protect the security of the service, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Your rights
You can request access to your data, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, request deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Where a clinic is responsible for your treatment content, we support the clinic in handling your request. Legal retention obligations and processing that already took place lawfully before withdrawal are not affected by withdrawal.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this notice from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email.
